This policy explains what Starlob collects, why, and what you can do about it. Starlob is a free browser game for players aged 13 and over, with a guest mode that collects nothing.
Starlob is operated by the Starlob team. For any privacy question, or to ask us to delete data, send us a message through the Contact page.
Guest play: nothing personal. You can play every mode as a guest without an account. Guest player names and the age band on your device stay in your own browser and are never sent to us, and an under-13 answer is not stored at all.
If you create an account (13+): your stage name, first name, last name, country and email address.
Gameplay data: your scores, rounds reached, per-mode bests, the items and perks saved to your pack, and a session log holding the time you signed in, the time we last saw you and how long you stayed.
News list (13+, opt in only): your email address and the date and time you agreed. We only add you when you tick the consent box, and every message includes an unsubscribe link.
Contact form (13+): the name, email address, topic and message you send us, plus the IP address the message came from, which we keep to block spam.
Cookies and similar technologies: your cookie choice, and advertising or analytics cookies only as described below.
To run the game and save your progress and pack; to show the leaderboard you appear on; to keep a session record for the account owner; to reply to you; and, when you have agreed, to send you news about Starlob.
Starlob may show ads through Google AdSense. Ads may be personalized for players 13 and over where permitted: Google and its third-party vendors use cookies, including the DoubleClick cookie, to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can review or change your choices at Google Ads Settings and at aboutads.info.
Visitors in the EU and UK see a cookie banner first. Until you accept, we request only non-personalized ads, which do not use your browsing history to target advertising.
Some Google services may also collect technical data such as your IP address and device type. We do not sell your personal information.
Starlob is intended for players 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13; if we learn that we have, we delete it.
Before anything that would collect personal data, we ask for a birth month and year on your device, without hinting at which answer the game is looking for. If the answer is under 13, nothing from that answer is stored, and Starlob is not available for the rest of that browsing session.
If you believe a child under 13 has sent us personal information, send us a message through the Contact page and we will delete it.
Account and gameplay data stay while your account exists. The newsletter record stays until you unsubscribe, plus a short period afterwards to show we honoured your request. Session logs are kept for the account log and removed on request.
If you are in the EU, UK or another GDPR country, you can access, correct, export, restrict or delete your personal data, object to processing, withdraw consent at any time, and lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
If you are in California, you have the right to know what we collect, to request deletion or correction, and to be free from discrimination for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
You can delete your account and everything stored with it from the account page. For anything else, including a copy of your data, send us a message through the Contact page.
If we change this policy we will update the date at the bottom of this page. Continued use of Starlob after a change means you accept the updated policy.
